It's bedtime at our house. Greg is mid-project out in the garage, so I'm flying solo tonight. Usually Greg takes care of all of Annie's bedtime routine, so I'm trying to fill some pretty big shoes. I get Annie snuggled up in bed, with the appropriate blankets and baby dolls. I'm at the door as I turn to watch her squirm, wiggle, toss and turn, murmur and moan a little. (Surprising, no tears though.) Finally, a sweet little voice calls out, "Mommy?"
"Yes, baby?"
"I don't think I'm very good at going to sleep."
It must be genetic . . . Ellie's been screaming for 10 minutes now (despite having already fallen asleep while nursing; she's protesting being set down.) Annie told me, "I would fall asleep, but Ellie's trying to keep me awake with her crying."

Love it! She is so insightful!
The first step is recognizing you have a problem. . . maybe this is the start of some sort of improvement. :)
