Chocolate, Sombreros and Kindergarten Graduation

The girls donned aprons and happily manned the double broiler to melt some chocolate, stir in some peanut butter, coconut oil and some honey.  Next we drizzled it on bananas and then dipped strawberries in it, and then spent some time trying to get all the chocolate off of all the kids . . .

Then on Friday we had Ellie's Kindergarten End of Year Program

Owen before it started . . . both boys have done their fair share of school programs lately, and have been pretty patient, all things considered . . .

Daddy and Owen . . .
Mom remembered that morning that Grandma was off work, so we called her like 15 minutes before we left for the school, but she was able to rush over and join us . . .
Owen thought it was super fun to untie Dad's shoes -- until Dad wouldn't let him actually take them off, then he started crying.

A very angry Owen wanted to be in the picture . . . but it didn't really make him any happier.

(who was also Annie's Kindergarten teacher, and did actually get married during the year and became Mrs. Wadman, but I don't think any of the kids ever changed what they called her.)
