Redesign Glitch

So, I was messing around with a new template for my blog (a task one should NEVER undertake when there's only 15 minutes left of the baby's nap!) Despite all my best (fairly unknowledgeable) efforts, I lost some information in the process. Specifically, all of my links. So, I tried to remember some, but I know I'm missing a few, that'll probably come to me in the next few days, but if you want to go ahead and leave a comment with your blog address if you'd like me to link to you, please do! I'll get it added right away!

Annie's latest potty training news:
So far, really pretty good. She's really taken to it, and does most of the work herself, often taking care of an entire trip to the bathroom without even involving me. No accidents at all today, except that the little stinker will wait 'til she gets a diaper on (like when we had to run to the store last night, or when she got to go sledding today with Grandpa Robert) to poop. Which is, quite frankly, the part of diaper changing I'm most trying to avoid! We'll get there though . . .

Annie got to, as previously mentioned, go sledding with my Dad today. The two of them headed off to the park while Ellie and I stayed home and mopped floors. (Do you know how great it is to mop the floors without a two year old running around? Awesome.) Afterwards, Grandpa stayed for lunch and to play for awhile longer. While here, his cell phone rang. He looked at the caller ID, saw it was my Mom, and handed Annie the phone and said, "Say, 'Hi, this is Robert.'"
Annie did as she was told, "Hi, this is Robert. How are you?"
My Mom responded, "You don't sound much like Robert."
I told her to tell Grandma, "I have a cold."
Annie continued on the conversation with my Mom, while pretending to be her Grandfather, and said something that made me and my Dad laugh for several minutes . . . chatting it up, she responded to one question with, "Yeah, I'm just here. Just hanging out at Hilary's house." It was so funny, and further convinced my Dad that is granddaughter is obviously a genius . . . apparently a master manipulator type of genius, but a genius nonetheless.

Later on, Annie and I were discussing who's turn it was on the computer. I felt it was mine, because I had graphics work to get done, and it's my computer. She felt it was hers because, well, she's two. At one point she said, "You know Mom, I'm getting pretty annoyed."

I sometimes feel guilty I say so much less about Ellie on here than I do Annie, but she's 7 months old, and really doesn't do (and definitely doesn't say) that much. She's adorable beyond words, so fun, growing out of all the dreaded fussiness/possible demon possession that plagues my children the first half year of their life, and is starting to go to just about anyone who'll let her stand up and hold onto their hands. She happily sits all almost all day playing with toys, but is starting to prefer standing more and more. She'll quickly (VERY quickly) roll onto her back anytime I set her down on her stomach, although she will occasionally, if properly bribed, actually roll onto her stomach. Of course, then she gets angry and rolls right back onto her back. I frankly don't know how we're ever gonna get this kid to crawl given her complete fury whenever her stomach comes in contact with the floor, but it'll come eventually. She weighed in at 14 lbs 9 ounces at her last weight check, on Tuesday. So, she's gaining. Slowly but surely. She's over a pound less than Annie was at this age, but at least we're starting to bust out the 6 month clothing, so it's good. Her and Annie play more and more together every day. She seems less nervous around her big sister, and there's more actual interaction than there was even just a few weeks ago. When Annie runs around and brings her toys, Ellie just beams, soaking up her big sister's attention. As seems typical with my children, Ellie has very, very little hair for her age. Meaning that despite her gorgeous baby girl features, and dominantly pink wardrobe, she gets mistaken for a little boy most every single time we take her into public. I really needs to start putting her in bows.

Dad was at your house today? So was that him or Annie that called me? I'm so jealous. I want to go sledding so bad! Is there enough snow down there right now? Hmm, maybe I will kidnap your child tomorrow. . . I'll give you a call later.
Ellie is a cutie and before you know it she will be talking and we will all be greatly amused and amazed by all she has to say! (Which, if she really is like her Aunt Star, will be a lot).

Woohoo for the potty training success! Weston just barely figured out pooping in the potty, but he's never looked back. From what I understand that always takes kids the longest to get the hang of, so don't stress.

Sorry that you lost stuff in your experimentation. I've definitely been there. Looks like you have my info though. Anyway, glad to hear both girls are doing well!
