Good News & Bad News

Came back with good news & bad news from Isaac's doctor's appointment.

Good news:  Isaac was able to come off his oxygen already.  His follow up appointment went great and he's looking great and recovering even better than they'd hoped!

Bad news:  One look at Ellie and the doctor sent her in for chest x-rays -- looks like Ellie has pneumonia.

Sigh.

Oh man! She doesn't have to stay in the hospital does she?

No. At least, not yet. Her oxygen is around 93-94, so not bad. We just have to watch her, and she'll start an antibiotic to hopefully clear up her lungs a little. Poor girl.

That's great news about Isaac! What a champ he is. Sorry about Ellie, poor thing. Nothing is harder on a mommy than sick babies. Even as they get older it doesn't get any less scary. I hope she recovers quickly and uneventfully!

Reminds me of a cartoon I saw the other day where a woman is jumping from a burning building into the safety trampoline the firemen are holding, only to bounce back up into a burning building next door! BUMMER! Poor kiddos...

One step forward, one step back, its hard being a mom with sick children in the winter time. Shauna had RSV and if she breathed in any cold air instantly she got RSV and would have to do breathing treatments. (we got a neubilizer permanently). Hopefully things will get better for Ellie, Issac will get better and better and Annie won't get sick. Hang in there I know it is tough sometimes but us moms are like the energizer bunny....we keep going and going and going....
Good luck!
