Utah State Fair 2012

Greg's parents took us to the Fair this year.  Ruth, my mother in law, is an amazing artist, and she has submitted (and has won ribbons for) her own artwork to the Fair the last several years.  This year was especially fun to go see, since her drawing this year featured our very own Annie (and her cousin Connor.)  Ruth won fourth place in the Professional category.

Annie and I had SO much fun riding the 'big rides' at the fair -- and I even felt OK while doing it.  Although, a forty minute long drive home ruined me and I felt like puking for the next hour.  Getting old is sad.  Oh well, I wouldn't have traded it for the experience of watching my little girl squeal in delight and clench her eyes tight at the top of the ride.  She loved it.

Here's Annie and Grandma

Ellie outside the pony ride fence.

Owen helping me take pictures by tugging on the strap.

Pony rides!!

Checking out the animals.  Ellie wasn't nearly as bored as she looks here :-)
Isaac checking out the baby pigs.

Ellie bonding with the goats.  After seeing the goats, Isaac wouldn't go near the sheep.  He explained to some random person, "The goats eat my shirt!"  One had tried to snack on the back of his polo, and it apparently left an impression.

Eating at the fair.  Isaac is messy.

Thanks KC & Ruth for the fun Fair outing!
