Owen's Hospital Visit

I took Owen in for a doctor's appointment on august 21st for (yet another) ear infection.  We got in to see an ENT the next day and got his surgery scheduled for that Friday.  Three days from ear infection to surgery has to be a new record.  He's our youngest to get tubes (a week shy of 8 months), and hopefully it's our last set!
We got up bright and early and Owen was the first surgery of the day.  Like all the other tubes we've done, it was quick and easy.  From the time they took my baby from my arms (an older nurse swooped him out of my arms and we never heard a peep from him until they brought him back screaming from recovery) 'til they were done and back in the room with us was less than 25 minutes.   Half way through the day you wouldn't know anything had even happened to him, and by the evening we were out with family at Greg's work party at This is the Place Heritage Park.
Since surgery he's been less fussy (but waking up more at night for some reason) and he's finally packing on some pounds (well, ounces.)  As of Thursday, September 6th he was up almost a pound from the month before!  He seems to be able to nurse better because of the lack of pressure in his ears, and a few weeks ago, he's finally seemed to jump on this whole 'solid food' train and is finally a fan.

I am glad the tubes seem to be making a difference. Surgery is never fun for mamas/babies, but it seems like y'all handled it like champs.
