Miss Independent(s)

Annie's pretty insistent that she be solely responsible for picking out clothes, getting herself dressed, picking out her own shoes, everything. Don't even think about helping her out.
Unless her head gets completely stuck in her pajamas or shirt. Then she's a bit more agreeable to a little help.

Ellie is becoming more interested in self-feeding. Most of her meals are us just throwing down her entire meal onto her highchair tray, and her shoveling handfuls of food into her little mouth as quickly as possible. This morning she even fed herself an entire bowl of yogurt. Half by fingers, half with her spoon. (Well, and half with pieces of toast as utensils, even if the math doesn't work out.)

Lastly, with nothing to do with their independent streaks . . . Annie and Ellie got cute new hats on clearance at Target ($1.49 each). I tried to force them to wear them on our walk, and was able to get a few pictures before we left. Ellie's only stayed on approximately 2 minutes after the last picture was taken, and we never got her to leave it on again.

Love the hats! I tried on several hats on my vacation, but never bought one. Your girls are adorable in all their pictures. Ellie eating her food and smiling made my ovaries hurt!

I love little girls in hats. Madeline would wear hers, Audrey never would. Now they both won't wear them. You can't go wrong with such cute hats at such a great price. Even if you just snap one cute picture it's worth it:)
