We met up with Cody, Sara, and the boys to run around and play and take LOTS of pictures on Antelope Island today. I realized a few hours before it was time to leave that I could NOT find my camera battery charger anyway. So I fished out my 10 year old Nikon -- one I stopped using because it got dumped in the ocean once and never quite worked as well ever again. (Who knew?) But it was all I had, and Cody was bringing his Canon, so I figured we'd just see how it worked.
It actually exceeded my expectations. Even though it gave me LOTS of problems! It wouldn't auto focus well, if at all, and several preset settings wouldn't work. And I had to throw away hundreds of photos that were blurry or way too dark, but I was really, really pleasantly surprised to see how many actually did work out pretty well!
Cody and Star both have more photos I need to go through, and I expect Cody's will turn out better -- but here's like 50 of my favorites from my old camera.
