The greatest thing to happen to my kids (and all of us) this Summer was their cousins coming into town. Greg's brother and sister in law, Chris and Liz, and their four kids live across the country and we don't get to see them that often. But this Summer vacation, we're getting as much 'cousin time' in as possible -- and the kids are having the TIME OF THEIR LIVES :-)
Having their 'cousin counterparts' in town has been so much fun -- my kids can't get enough of Connor, Nathan, Ian, and Claire. On Nathan's birthday, their second day here, the kids all played in my parents backyard while Liz and I went shopping to pick out outfits for the kids upcoming family photo shoot :-) We may or may not have gone to SEVEN different stores, while Greg and my Mom kept these kids happily occupied back at home.
(Also, have you ever shopped for coordinating outfits in every single children's department -- sizing in Toddler Girls, Toddler Boys, Little Girls, Little Boys, Big Girls, and Big Boys? It's dang hard. But we did an amazing job and the kids looked incredible the day of pictures :-)
