Puerto Vallarta is gorgeous -- but the beaches are rougher and less safe for the kids. Ellie tried boogie boarding once and got tossed in and rolled around and back out in the rocky sand and determined she was done for the day :-) And after a day in Mazatlan, with perfect beaches and sand, we were happy to spend the day at a gorgeous resort with perfect pools, sipping on fancy drinks all day :-)
On the drive back to port, we stopped to go shopping for a bit -- but Isaac and I just headed down to the water one last time.
