My great Aunt Zan passed away unexpectedly, and I'd been really worried about not being able to say goodbye in the midst of COVID and social distancing. But with masks and an outdoor funeral, we got to say goodbye at one of the most beautiful funerals I've ever attended, sitting out with my Mom and sisters on a picnic blanket in the warm sun, with the birds singing in the background.
