Celebrating Marvin's 2nd Birthday

There's nothing my kids love more than spending time with cousins -- especially the little cousins.  I loved Cody's video here of Marvin's 2nd Birthday party, and watching my kids play with family!

Ellie on the Rock Wall

This video shows one of my FAVORITE moments from our entire cruise. Our ship had a trampoline park, which we tried out on our last day on the ship (it was the only thing we did that cost any extra, so we just did it once). Ellie is on a rock wall playing this game -- and she'd been working for 20 minutes to beat the game and our trampoline session had just ended, but she was SO close -- most everyone had left, but all of the employees and a few parents and the kid coaching her through it stuck around to watch her final attempt at beating the game. It was a VERY invested crowd at this point. She was only the second person to beat the game the entire cruise (the only other person to do it was the kid who comes up to her after and congratulates her -- he was the first person to do it, and was on his third hour at the trampoline park trying to beat it. She was AMAZING and everyone was blown away by the athleticism it took to get to this last frame of the game. This video though doesn't adequately show how freaking cool this game was -- the white lines moved and would disappear and reappear and you had to touch the targets without ever touching a white line -- which at one point in the game meant she had to get into that complete froggy position right below a line, about half way up the rock wall, and soon as the line right inches above her head disappeared, she had one second to propel herself up to nearly the top of the rock wall -- which was hard enough, but she had to do it without falling back off, which also triggered an 'end game'. She tried and tried and tried, and finally got it! Then once you do that, the lines start to move and you have to go up and around them to avoid the moving lines before they settle in the final position they're in on the video where she has to reach the last target. She was amazing. The employees working there came out and found her in the hall after the session to congratulate her again and again -- and tell her how impressed they were at how hard she worked and how she never gave up. And learned to beat the game in less than 20 minutes! It was such a fun high of a moment for the whole family!

Mexico 2020 Vacation Video

Family Vacation Day 8

We got off the ship and drove to Lake Havasu to meet up with Lacy and Ben and to take in the annual fireworks show and then sleep over in AZ with the Taylors. We had SO much fun watching the fireworks and roasting marshmallows with family.

Family Vacation Day 7

This ship day cooled off quite a bit, but it also meant there was almost no line for the SkyRide or the ropes course. This was the day my kids did the onboard trampoline park, and that was a HUGE hit.
