This first picture is of my side of the family, with the exception of Lacy (who's in Virginia working as a nanny), and Cody (who had to work that night.) We don't tend to exclude in-town siblings from family portraits, it's just that this particular family picture-taking session was a huge extended family one, and even though we all adore Cody, we couldn't plan the picture around his schedule. My ridiculously talented sister-in-law Andrea took all of the pictures of my family for us with her wickedly cool camera (thanks again!)
Greg holding Annie, Me holding Ellie, Star, Grandma Karine, G-Bob (or Papa or Grandpa Robert, whatever Annie's in the mood to call him), then annexed from the family, Talina and her hubby David.

Here's an adorably cute picture of Annie . . . my very favorite one, which is similar to this, is the one I use on the sidebar of my blog.

We also did Johnson family pictures this summer. Andrea obviously didn't take these ones, as she's the one in the red shirt in front. My sister-in-law Liz and I were less thrilled about the timing of the pictures, both within weeks of having had a baby, but we did our best to hide behind our children and smile for the camera. It was about the only time we really could've gotten them done, as Chris & Liz and their two boys headed back to Notre Dame for Chris' 2nd year of law school at the end of summer (with Annie & Ellie's only cousins, Connor & Nate . . . we're thinking about kidnapping them and bringing them back so Annie & Ellie grow up around their cousins, but Chris & Liz know where we live. Although, we could TOTALLY get Greg's parents in on this plan!)
Annie wandering around, happily dressed up like a Minnie Mouse bride! (More on that later!)

Annie holding an awfully fussy Ellie.

OK . . . here come my FAVORITE pictures taken. Annie and her cousin Connor are beyond adorable, and we got some of the cutest pictures of them being so sweet.

How freakin' cute is that?!

And that.

And that.

The original intent of the photo shoot wasn't to dress up the cousins as bride & groom for future blackmail . . . but it went there anyway! No, actually we brought the Mickie & Minnie ears for my Aunt & Uncle who's pictures we were taking before their Disney World vacation. But the kids looked so adorable, no matter the incestuous undertones!

More of my family minus Lacy & Cody. (Just use your imagination, Lacy's like a grown up Annie, or a Star with curlier hair, and Cody's just a male version of Talina).

Grandma Ruth holding Ellie, Grandpa KC holding Nate
Annie & Connor (who at this point were both pretty done posing for the camera . . . actually, Annie was about done from the time we got there.)

A bunch of my extended family (my Mom's side), all met together at the park to get some pictures while my Uncle & Aunt were in town.

Yeah... let's just say I'm looking forward to the next round of family pictures when I'm not 10 days post-partum.
Poor Cody, "Male version of Talina." He is going to have so many issues.
I like the ostracized pictures of David and I. I cropped the rest of you out and pretended like we got cute pictures of us taken instead! ;)
Such great shots! Andrea... come take my family photos, k??? :-)
