Late Night Visit with Uncle Karl

Grandma Powell died this morning. We visited with Karl that evening to tell him the news, and he was in such a sweet, cuddly mood. 

Christmas Day 2018

Christmas Day started early -- 4:30AM to be exact. Grandma Karine and Grandpa Robert came over for the tail end of opening our gifts, then Star came to visit for a bit. Because we were done so early, we actually had time to stop in at Talina and David's house in the morning to see cousins and see what Santa had brought them, and Facetime with the Taylor cousins (at least the ones who were up and not sick). We then headed over to Grandma Ruth and Grandpa KC's house for fun, food, gifts, and SO much whipped cream :-) The kids were exhausted, but deliriously happy. Ellie's the only one who got a nap in all day (besides Greg) -- and we all crashed hard and slept well last night. In fact, Annie may still be asleep at 10AM the next day . . .
