Cousins

Since my last blog post was all about the Brothers, I figured now was a good time to include some adorable pictures of the Cousins.  My niece Bailey and Owen are two and a half months apart. I have Bailey over at my house several times a week, and she's like the fifth sibling in our little family, and my kids love her.  Usually.  Owen's mildly terrified of her, but he's just starting to 'stand up' to her very affectionate ways.  Isaac loves her to death, and is super protective and sweet with her -- until she annoys him, then he stomps around the house, exasperated and wailing, "Bay-ee!" and reading me in on her latest antics.

Because I watch Bailey a couple days a week, we've joked that she'd start walking over here, and it was my job to push her over so that her Mom didn't miss her first steps.  Good news -- Bailey started walking.  At my house.  With her Mom here!  Phew! :-)  I'm glad I didn't have to knock her over :-)

Despite having an older cousin who has been crawling since she was 5 months old, Owen's still pretty content to reign as the Laziest Baby in the world, and still doesn't do much.  He has started to realize though that to fully appreciate the Activity Table, one must stand.  So, stand he does.  Yay!

Tonight we had the funnest Family Night with Grandma Karine, Grandpa Robert, Aunt Talina and Bailey.  We went to the Church parking lot and set off water bottle rockets.  Annie and Ellie got SOAKED, but never even seemed to notice the freakishly cold temperatures!

We walked over to the Church park, and Owen 'enjoyed' the swings.
Isaac was incredible leery of the sounds and spray of the whole contraption, so he stayed far, far away the entire time we were there.

We got home kinda late, the kids were soaked and cold, and I got everyone changed into pajamas and got teeth brushed as quickly as possible.  Then Isaac offered the prayer tonight totally unassisted (well, unassisted until he'd basically repeated everything twice and I gently prompted with, "And we say these things . . . " and he wrapped it up from there.)  Soon as we all said 'Amen', I jumped up to the computer and typed up what he'd said before I forgot.
Thank you we got to go see Grandpa today. Bless that we will be safe. Bless that Ellie will get to see Cody on a mission. Bless that Annie and Ellie will sleep all night. Bless that Annie and Ellie will get to sing and dance, and that Cody will be on a mission. Bless that we can all be safe. Bless that we can sleep.

Man, this kid cracks me up :-)  He's so cute.

And just because I loved this picture from yesterday and wanted to make sure I had it posted somewhere, here's Owen and his Daddy:

Easter Weekend 2010 Memories

This is probably my favorite series of videos of my kids EVER.  It's an epic battle between a nearly four year old Annie and Grandpa Robert.  I cannot watch this without cracking up the whole time.  She was just so emphatic :-)

Work Party

The day of Owen's surgery, we also had Greg's annual work party.

The girls were out of town (in San Diego with my parents), so we took the boys and Greg's parents and headed to "This is the Place Heritage Park".

Isaac loved seeing all the animals.

And all three of my boys totally rocked the awesome hear wear the company handed out :-)

Isaac loved the popsicles.  And the candy.  And the corn on the cob.  And the ice cream sandwiches.

 And the train ride.

 And the tiny train ride.
 Rocking his new safety goggles.
